just get the pre filter and ull be ok, but major hp gains much faster for only 40 bucks but the downside is when u take all that air junk out that u have to cut the air box out and stuff so that was a bummer but i definately suggest it, it works great, ohh yeah to save you some trouble they will ask you what siz you need get the 4in and for the clamp on part its 1 1/2in and it slid right on for the stock carb

Hmmm well we've been running our blaster w/ NO air box since we built it & it's a little rocket!! Actually it didn't come w/ one, we run a 34mm Mikuni flat slide carb w/ a 300 jet & a UNI foam filter w/ a filter skin!! It does suck when you come up to a water hole which we ride in quite often but he just go thru it real slow, we don't take it on the trails much though it's mainly a flattracker. Good luck w/ your set up

this is one of those reasons u dont let a friend ride ur bike! ok my k&n clomp on was on and u tell him to go real slow goin through puddles and stuff but no they dont listen to you and they do what they want he goes and rides throgh a mud hole and the filter suck a **** load of water in the carb so after we got through we got about 10 ft through the puddle and smoke is everywhere but i didnt kno what was goin on cuz i didnt kno anything got sucked in the filter so i thought i was screwed cuz we were at lest 5 miles from the house on the railroad tracks i was gettin compression so i knew i didnt crack my head so lucky we were on a hill so we push started it and it gurglin for about 5 min and it finally ran i was so happy i thought i really messed up! but its the first and last problem i will have with my clamp on!
