03 Kody 450 warranty ends soon. Suggestions?
#1
I just posted about a diff lock problem. My warranty runs out soon. Please check that post and provide any useful suggestions or input you may have about things I should check, or be aware of. Better Yamaha fixes it than me.
Thank you.
Thank you.

BTW, trying not to waste everyone's time, I've read 11 pages of posts here and can't find my problem listed. other problems seem to be elctrical or comfort/preference/mod issues, which aren't really things you'd fix under warranty.

confusedbuyer - if you're not having problems w/ your kodiak, i wouldn't extend the warranty. I didn't get the warranty w/ my bike, but I still have a few months to opt in. I prolly won't since it's running like a charm.

Over-all, do you guys have any regrets buying the Kodiak. I'm going to trade the Raptor in and I'm thinking about a Griz or Kodiak. I really don't NEED the Griz's size or cost so I'm leaning towards the Kodiak. What do ya think.

No complaints. like size and weight better than Grizz (oh, and the saved $$ too). much peppier than the 400 Kodiak, with low range a must. I think the diff lock has been overrated, just gets me more stuck. Maybe I should get better tires like others have suggested here.

Just thought of one thing I don't like... nothing to do with Kodiak, as much as with automatics. my cousin has a 450 Honda manual/thumb shift. when I get in trouble and need to shift down or up quick, it doesn't happen. Have to stop, engage brake and then bang around until new gear finally engages. the honda is way gone by then, because he just shifts on the fly and keeps going. otherwise, no complaint.
