I ride with a guy who has a 400ex, and the only time i have beaten him is in the sand. We both had paddles but when i hit 5 gear i was pulling away in sixth i kept going ended up beating him by like 5-6 bike lengths. On dirt roads I top out at 69 mph, and he just keeps going. Good luck!!

it could just have a clogged jet, which would only take $10 and an hour to replace...but it could need a whole new carb which could set you back a few hundred...you never know until you take it apart/.

Sooo... show I take the carb off and follow the instructions on the website? The engine turns over but doesn't crank, I'm going to charge the battary and put new gas in it! ne other ideas? could it be the batt.?
