Blaster wheels!!! .160 or .190 ??
#1
Its me again, and with another question for those of you who can answer it. the next thing i am buying for my blaster are new rear wheels. im getting offset alluminum ones, to space my new tires away from the mud-guards a little. but im not sure weather to just get the .160 guage, or spend the extra 10$ per-tire for the tougher 190's ? does anyone have 160's on a blaster? i dont beat on my quad or hit any jumps. so id amagine 160 might be just fine. but the extra thickness of the 190's might pay off one day?? if anyone who reads this has 160's on their quad, how strong are they?

the 160 wheels are pretty tough. that said, if you are ofsetting the rear wheels a lot, you might want to shell out the extra dough and go with the 190's. you never know when an unexpected jump or tumble could occur. cheap insurance. whatever you do, stay away from the 125's

Well, i guess i probably will end up with 190's. after all i do Ride up in the mountains and anything could happen there. but i will get the 160's on the front, since the front wheels dont have as much stress on them as the rear.
thanks for all of the advice people .

actually i would opt for the 190s on the front first. All it takes is one stump or an uneven landing to put enourmous pressure on the front. Sideswipe a tree or other rider in the woods and you'll see what i mean. rear tires usually have a larger sidewall between the tire and wheel than fronts, so they are more resistant to bending even with lower air pressure.
