Default YFZ 4x4?

Do you guys think Yamaha will make a 4x4 based on the YFZ's engine just like they did when they built the grizzly based on the raptor engine?

I think if they did it would replace the wolverine. I was just interested about what you all thought about this.

I wouldn't really see the point. There is already enough mid to big size 4x4's that yamaha makes

i dont think they would because the yfz is made for mxing and they would have issues with the engine going in the frame right.

It sounds like a good replacement for the aging Wolverine. It is true that there are lots of mid and big sized 4x4s, but there are very few FAST 4x4s. And a 4x4 with 10" of suspension travel, with fully adjustable YFZ style shocks, would be the fastest 4x4 on the planet. I would stand in line to put my name on the waiting list for one as soon as it was announced.
Me and you both, then you could say BYE BYE Prairie! ( I'm gonna hear it for that one, no offense Prairie owners)!!!

Thats right you heard it here first!

Its so possible because of what they did with the Rappy and Grizzly.

Remember the Raptor came out first, then the next year the Grizzly came out. For awhile it blew everyones minds!
Then Kawi came out with their 700 race bike and then came the prarie 700.
It just seems like a logical reason for yammy to make a spot ute with the yfz 450 engine.
If this happend then Honda would have back up their product with a 450 sport ute to compete with Yamaha. Of course Kawizuki would have to compete as well.
It would be a new revolution of 4x4's! I get excited just thinking about it! Please let this happen Yamaha!

The Raptor engine is a torque monster....which easily crosses over too the utility ranks. The YFZ on the other hand is a high rpm oriented engine that makes no power down low. Who wants a utility atv that has too be ran wide open all the time too make any power? Never gonna happen.
