A Raptor with 14/40 gearring at 8,500RPM goes: 93.77
A Raptor with 13/37 gearring at 8,500RPM goes: 94.14
that should both be a 2.85 ratio

The way I understand it is the smaller the sprocket and the tighter the radius the more the chain has to bend/work, taking away power.
Your chain and spockets usually last longer also if bigger.
