If Ridley weren't a young guy, I'd say he's like the wise old guy on the porch with a pipe that people come to for the last word of advice. Well said young man.

Sorry Ridley, going to have to call you on that one. Dry weight is 350 yfz, 398 raptor. Now I'm not sure why the raptor adds 25 extra pounds when wet vs the addon in the yfz. The difference is just under 50, but the reasons you listed are correct, just not the right amounts, unless the raptor somehow holds 25 extra pounds of fluids....

IMO. The Raptor already does keep up, but I think if the Raptor came with the same tech it would be an awesome race. YFZ comes with a lot of techonolig. What outlaw said, hell, 35MM FCRs. Austins not asking stock for stock, hell look at his list of mods, his bike is far from stock. Put in some tech that the YFZ has in your bike austin, FCR's etc, hey, maybe you can have the numbers 686 ringing in your mind .

the battery, starter, battery clamp, starter torque gears and battery cables weigh around 12 lbs total.

The kick start internals and kicker weigh 2lbs for a net loss of 10lbs

But at the same time most guys pull the heel guards at the same time which weigh around 2lbs/each

You can get a fair amount of weight off the YFZ
