Tire Slime- good or bad?
I am tired of airing up my mx tires all the time and I have to run mud caps on my beadlocks to keep dirt and mud out of them. That means every time I ride I have to take off the mudcaps and put them back on. So my question is how well does Tire Slime work(or any other tire sealant)? Will it actually keep the tires aired up? Is it worth using or am I just stuck with taking the mudcaps off and back on?

slime definately works. Make sure u put ALOT more pressure than u need in the tires after the slime is "slime'd in". Then throw the tire in the air spinning it and bouncing it all over to get the slime to the small holes in the tire. I had over 100 small ice stud holes in my front tires and the slime stopped the leak in EACH little hole. Infact, the tires are still holding air 3 months later. if your having problems with your beads seating dismount tire and get a flapper on a die grinder go around the wheel were the bead seats clean it off then use coarse sand paper around the circumfrence of the wheel this makes small rubber cleat area or key/rubber area and helps seal them then after you mount them rub down the bead with WD40 and seat them . the WD softens the rubber and help to get a good seal
. Tire slime dries over time . Check with the tire shops in your area . Commercial tire her uses a Black compound that works great and you dont use that much
Good luck
