Which suspension out of all of them do you prefer?? Im planning on purchasing suspension sometime soon. I was going to go with Works triple rates but people are saying to go with Elka if I want the best, so to not regret it later, im going with Elka. Which one do you prefer out of them? I do all riding, trails, they get real technichal and aggresive, I ride the track, and Sand. Thanks guys, and please reply!!

And for the people that do have Elkas, how much improvement did you notice over stockers? Thanks!!!

There's a big suspension post in the suspension forum, maybe you should try asking your question there.

Do you want the best or do you want the best of the Elka's or the Works? The Elka's are probably better than the Works but the best overall shocks are Pep/ZPS and Axis. Asking about who likes what shocks is so subjective, the guy that has Elka's is going to say they are the best, the guy who bought the Axis are going to say they are the best. If you really want to know what the best built shock is just look at what the pro's are using, it's either PEP/ZPS or Axis.

Save up and just get Elka's ZPS or like they call it "self saging". I bought works triple rates and what a waste of money, I hated them, they are spongy, and make squikie noises.

I've switched from stock shocks to Elkas on two of my quads. The difference between the two is night and day.

if your investing in shocks then you better consider a-arms. if your gonna widen it up....they'll need to valve your shocks for the width you run want. to change valving later can get expensive. so do it right the first time. I just so happen to have a used set of +3 Lonestar racing A-arms. perfect for the sand. anyways....i'll let t hem go cheap if your interested...PM me.

regarding elkas...They are the Best. and yes i'm saying that because i own them...and i've owned works and Axis also. Elka...as a company, will blow you away with there customer service. i was one of their first customers when they started breaking into the quad market. prior they were making shocks for sn0-mobiles...actually for sno-cross. if you've seen those machines land after a jump..then you can appreciate the quality product that Elkas makes and shoots for. they adjust easy. i have triple rates with piggy back resivoirs and SSD. i am thoroughly convinced these shocks have saved my life if not my *** several times when coming up short or landing bad jumps.

what is SSD? glad you asked. this lowers your Raptor between 1.5 to 2" without losing you travel. this is what happens. when you jump your suspension travel is fully extended. you land and your suspension compresses. then resumes stock height. then SSD begins to lower the quad another 1.5-2 for better stability. cool stuff.

it really does becom a diifrent machine. once you have a raptor that can handle like a tru sport quad you will have a whole new repect for the Raptor...and so will your friends.
