My cousin has an 01 Raptor and is considering getting a new 450.

1. he has elka suspension all around. lone star a-arms, ct racing exhaust system, air box mods, jetted, nerfs and tag handlebars. If he buys the 450 for racing he would like to return the raptor to a more trail friendly configuration. He also has a Durablue axle but has to leave it on because the stocker bent.

?. Can any of those parts be converted for use on the 450 so as conserve some of the money he's spent on his Raptor

 

Only the handlebars will convert over. That Rappy is still quite a good trail bike, I'd say very friendly...but your wanting to save money.

You could always put the stock parts back on the Rappy and sell the aftermarket parts (possibly on ebay) then use that money to modify 450.

you don't think the nerfs could be modded to fit, we are somewhat mechanically inclined and can do a little fabbing in the shop. Also what about the shocks, I know that they'd need to be revalved, but maybe we could move the mounts to make em' work. Yeah put the stock handlebars back on the 450, put all the stcok stuff on except the axle...and sell it all on ebay.....alot more money that way to mod the 450

Yeah, you could probably make some custom mounts for the nerfs, and the shocks....dunno how good it would be, but you could try....

 

That equip is hard to mod to work on other bikes especialy the 450 and Rappy, they are very different in design. I donno bout the nerfs, they usually bolt on the same place for every bike obviously that same place has different diminsions on every bike. I wouldn't use the shocks, crossing over those never works right and always just screws up the handling of the bike.
