I to have had my kodiak for awhile now. No problems at all , have been through mud and water deep enough i couldn't see the tires no prob, clutch never slips. it's an awsome bike i don't know why everyone says it's under powered i ride with a scrambler 500 & 400 2stroke i stay with them no problem sure if they wanted to race they'd kill me but trail riding i'm right there with them.the auto tranney is great, thought i'd hate it but now i'll never go back to shifting again.

I have had my Kodiak for about 4 months now and have had no problems at all. I have had the headlights pushing water and have never had my belt slip. It has gotten some water in the belt housing but it was easily drained by removing the plug in the bottom of the housing, (something Polaris should really consider doing). A friend of mine has a Scrambler 500, while it is a fine machine, the belt will slip everytime we go through deep water, (over the floorboards). All I know is this is a great machine. I have not found any instance where it was under powered.

I agree with the other posts, have owned several atv's honda and yahama's and the K00 is a great one for my use...hunting, trail riding and some light mudding, I went to the Marengo ride and had no belt slippage problem(did not try the big bad holes) they were filled with every brand, there are some places nothing will go through. Have followed my friends on their SP500 and big hondas through deep creeks(over the wheels) and experienced no problem. I was nervous to try but went ahead. The easy steering, low & high range and no shortage of power to me were my reasons for buying the Kodiak. I looked at the Griz very hard but felt it would be upgraded in a year or two and I have had absolutely no problems with the Kodiak, have had it 11 months. As for the bumpers I have a 2500 Warn winch with roller fairlead mounted and have experienced no bends to the front area. I do not like the winch being mounted so far back into the frame that you cannot see the cable winding onto the drum, that is my only comlaint.
