Default Mod ?'s for Wolverine & Warrior owners.

A friend has a 02 Wolverine that he wants me to get more power out of using bolt on or minor internal mods for around $700. He does not want to go to the hassle and expense of splitting the cases to bore and strong (fst 435 kit).

In 92 I had a Warrior that I put some mods into a pipe (RCM), K&N, piston (11.25 Weisco) cam (W/B woods), and HD springs also a Barnett HD clutches. I also did some polishing of the head and intake as well as matched them. He would like me to do something similar to his Wolverine but I did this almost 12 years ago and I'm sure aftermarket technology has made some changes so my questions are...

1. Should I go with the same suppliers mostly White Bros or are there ones better now?
2. He wants a QUIET pipe who has the quietest now? He's wiiling to sacrifice some gains for quiet.
3. How well will the stock auto clutch hold up with these mods and larger (26") tires? Shoul I look into modifying that also?

Thank Guys !!!

2 days and no replies!!!!

How about an easier question? What would be an approximate starting point for jetting?

I purchased the Alba cam/piston kit for $430, K&N filter and a HMF pipe with the 91 db kit for $260.

What elevation are you at? I think that the stock main is a 145 on the wolvy .. same as the Warrior. For the lower elevations you're probably going to want to start around a 155 main I think. If you go to the dynojet web site they have the installation instructions there and recommended jetting for a range of elevations ... Sounds like you're off to a good start anyways .. good luck!!

Thanks

I was going to start around 3 to 4 sizes up which would have put me in the 152.5 to 155 range. I'm at 500 to 1000 ft.

That's a good place to start for sure at that elevation.

I want to find a place where I can just buy a couple of jets from 155 to 160 or so

instead of buying a dynojet kit with a bunch of jets i'll never need ...
