Default ATV Insurance?

Hey guys I was just wandering what the deal is with this ATV insurance it is kinduv new to me
I saw an add in my friends ATV magazine and it showed a guy who had his ATV stolen which would really suck but would they really replace it with another ATV of equal value???? I would kinduv doubt it but I do not know. What are some of the things that they offer with the insurance. If you wreck your Bike will they cover that to.
Just kinduv curious thanks.

I have mine thru progressive. It has a $100 deductible and covers both accident and theft. Its just like car insurance, they try to screw you and give you the low ball price if its stolen or wrecked. But something is better than nothing if something happens.

Default ATV Insurance?

YAMHY, When I got my insurance for mine she told me they would replace it full value the first year and then every year it depreciates and I have to update it every year so I am not paying for 7000 worth of isurance when it is worth only 5000. The premium will go down every year but so will the value of the quad, I got insurance in case of wrecking it or the trailer coming off the hitch and getting totaled. Auto insurance covers the trailer but not the items riding on the trailer and a guy I work with had his trailer come off and the boat he had got wrecked and his his insurance covered the trailer only. Some people say home owners insurance will cover theft but that is only if the quad is stolen from your house and in my case I have a thousand dollar deductible and the quad has a 250 deductible.

Insurance worth it? I think so, for at least the first 4 to 5 years, then no after that. 200+ dollars a year buys some piece of mind if you ask me. AlaskaBoy.

Ive got mine through progressive with a $500 deductible for making mine street legal and it cost me $125 a year. I got quotes all over the map when I looked into it.

In my case I just wanted coverage for theft, fire, vandalism - catastrophic loss. I didnt realize that my homeowners and auto coverage didnt cover bikes/quads - ya gotta have separate policies.

Markel allows you to customize coverage (deductible level, add-on values, coverages) and I really just wanted blue-book + a little for mods. My intention being to minimize the premium and be able to get a basic replacement - nuthin fancy. I waived the personal liability too - I have good health ins. through my company. I'm basically covered for a loss and if I damage somebody elses property. Total yearly premium for my Raptor, Warrior, and KLX300 bike is $153.......

Once ya start adding all the mods and thinkin you'll get that $$ back after a loss, the premium goes sky high.....that coupled with a low deductible makes it silly.

I havent had a claim yet but at least I'll be able to replace the bikes with basically a same year stocker and start over....

I have coverage through McGraw. Go on Google and type Mc Graw ATV Insurance. They were super easy to deal with and only $135 for a whole year for both bikes, an '04 YFZ450 and an '01 TRX400EX.
