if the quad is financed through yamaha the dealer will actually make more money.......because they get a "reserve" from household finance........
it is a very common misconception that you will get a better deal with cash........but this myth is BUSTED.........LoL

well this is all i got to say about this subject. I got mine for $6500 OTD and now that i have mine modded up i would have probably payed $10,000 for it LOL. Well maybe not but would have payed more i enjoy it alot and i think i might be driving it too much and not driving the wife enough now? Not sure i don't have the time to ponder the question got to go ride CYA.

So here's the scoop.. The best price I could find in AZ on the YFZ450 WAS $6900 UNTIL I talked with Champion Motorcycles 480-325-1818. I walked in willing to pay $6800 otd and before I could tell the guy what I would pay he said he would sell me one for $6400 OTD! I was about to faint because that's the best I have seen! Sooo.. WHy are they that cheap now? This place bought 130 from the factory (yfz) and they got them $500 under list, they also bought 100 or so Rappys and I think he said they were going for $5500 OTD! It's nice to see Yamaha fighting back and matching Honda on price.
I WAS considering either one but GET this.. Yamaha JUST did a recall on ALL Rappys swith the rear master cylinder and the brakes failing because of some vibration. Check with your local dealer and get your Rappy fixed.. and DO not pay more then $6400 OTD for the YFZ! I was also told that one guy came in and bought one TRX and one YFZ... the next day he came back and tried to return the Honda because of the lack of handling and the throttle response were not up to par compared to the YFZ.. I have never rode one personally but this is what the sales guy said.. and YES he had both for sale.
Sooo.. one more to the YFZ450 club!
