Just not sure how well it works, I know FMF puts a lot of R&D in there pipes,
And since i'm in the market,I want to know what the real pipe critics think
about this one.
BTW It will be going on a stock 04 wolverine.

I'd also like to know what the DB rating is on it. I hate loud pipes.

 

I had one and didn't like it. There is a thread that tells how my tip melted off.

 

scaboy-I use the fmf-q muffler on my 686 raptor and it performs very well especially in the low end and midrange and it is holding up well so far.My raptor was tested for decibel levels by the forest service and it came in at 92 decibels so it is very quiet compared to most other pipes.

 

I would also check out the white brothers e2....designed for the power of an aftermarket pipe but quiet enough to meet national forest db requirements.

only down side, alot of $$$

 

i bought one for my 250r thinking it was going to be quiet but it really didnt make a difference. the TONE changed to a slightly deeper note but thats about it. i was dissappointed. but it looks pretty good on the bike.

 

I run it on my yfz when I need to. Its still loud, but nothing will be quiet on a yfz/raptor, etc...but its legal. thats why I have it. It helps w/ performance and its legal everywhere. It wouldnt be loud at all on a wolverine or anything.


Its a lotta money????warrior68man...unless its a lot more for other quads, you're cheap. I picked up mine for 300 bucks. Thats cheap compared to the carbon white bros pipe I run.
