I would go with a Honda 450R There not as fast as the YFZ but with mods they will be.
And it's got more torque which I like on trails.
The Shee is a dune monster. But a modded dune monster on trails sounds like a good way to to find out what it's like to wear a body cast.
The Raptor is awesome also you can get them for a good price and drop a crafty 686 kit in it and lower it and it will be an awesome ride with reverse.
YFZ is really fast I haven't ridden one but i've heard there kind of lacking in the torque department they like RPM's which I don't like on trails but this depends on your riding style. Guys who own YFZ's if you dissagree speak up.

i really think the 450r is the way to go there are plenty of parts out for it but i have a few ?'s for u r u planning on drag racing like professionally or just lik when your riding with your friends??? cuz its kinda hard to find a middle for trails and dragging there lik apples and oranges for example a fully modded raptor is most likely not gonna b trail ridding and when i say fully modded i mean everything they mike such as nos turbo 727 kits the whole 9 yards
but if u are just racing your friends then id deff say 450r with pipe filter cam hi comp piston...deff the auto clutch really helps for trail ridding practically eliminates stalling and with the kick starts its a huge advantage

i rode my banshee with t-5's for years on trails...not a problem, for those who say they are bad in the trails, well, you just can't man up and ride a banshee, now granted, they are by far not the best quad for trails, but someone with any riding ability can manage one through some pretty hairy spots. You also can get a 2 into 1 pipe, thats what i did, gives it some pretty amazing bottom end grunt. What i recently did with mine was, tore it all apart, got it blasted($160) powdercoated and my pipe jet hot coated($250) and a company on ebay sells a 488 stainless bolt kit for it or any quad for that matter($150, comes with labels so you know what goes where and a tube of antiseize, pm me if you want the name for it), then i got all new bearings and seals ($56 on ebay) and a-arm bushings (from asr on ebay for $20). I also put two little gussets up by the bumper, welded some weaker points up, and welded the spots back on the spindles, so i spent a total of about $636 on a reconditioned rolling chassis, thats perfect. Not to bad, but then again, i had most of my parts from it earlier to, so if you buy a banshee that already has enough work done to it, you can really make out good, with a decent machine, the way you want it, and still have money maybe even buy another atv.
