I don't know much and correct me if you think I am stupid but I would think raptor. The reason why I say this is because, shees are awesome for dunes but I don't like trail riding on them. Its too much "All or nothing" for me. Raptor is good because trail riding is great, tons of power for drag races, and they do very well at the dunes. Put a pipe filter, and skids on it.

It really depends if you like the 2 stroke power or 4 stroke.

Last night I rode my buddies 1999 Shee, he has about 2500 into the motor plus, pipes and a bunch of goodies. I agree they are sick fast. I just like trails on a 4 stroke.

I would go with a Honda 450R There not as fast as the YFZ but with mods they will be.
And it's got more torque which I like on trails.

The Shee is a dune monster. But a modded dune monster on trails sounds like a good way to to find out what it's like to wear a body cast.

The Raptor is awesome also you can get them for a good price and drop a crafty 686 kit in it and lower it and it will be an awesome ride with reverse.

YFZ is really fast I haven't ridden one but i've heard there kind of lacking in the torque department they like RPM's which I don't like on trails but this depends on your riding style. Guys who own YFZ's if you dissagree speak up.

the 450r is cheaper than the yfz and would be an equally as good machine. especially with the eztra $ to mod it.

I hate to say it but Banshee! Mod 4 Mod it is the Fasted Quad out there hands down. On the four storkes after a pipe, filter and jets you looking at 2k plus for your next mod which will not compete with the same $ spent in a shee.

Trust me i'm finding out the hard way! I have a Raptor which i like a lot but, My 3 closes riding budz have He/Shees and, they are head and, shoulders faster and, cheaper w/ mods! Plus The banshee is by far the easiest to work on.

They have Toomey pipes, Clamp on filters, V Force Reeds, lighter pistons, some high comp domes and, Trinty porting. I'd have to get a 686 or more likely a 727 kit to be near them and they would have spent half by the time i dumped 3k + on a 727.

As far as handling, unless your an MX racer you won't notice a difference. If you are going to MX there is no other choice except the YFZ450.

The Raptor is a good choice for all around and, if you like Reverse but, i'm starting to think i should have gone Banshee.

it also depends on what kind of trails ur riding... tight curvey trails (never any fun with a 2 stroke) or nice wide open long straightaway trails? but drag racing thats a hands down no brainer banshee should be screaming ur name and a dune master but its a 2 to 1 ratio anyway for a banshee, but do u ride mostly trails anyway cuz then i would say go with a yfz or rappy
