Grizzly Wheel spacers

Grizzly Wheel spacers
I put this topic up last year and never got much out of it, so I'll try again. Anybody run spacers on a 660 Grizz? I already have mud tires on my ITP Delta's, and I want to keep the stockers for trail tires. But I hate that narrow Yamaha setup. Wheel spacers are about $170 for a set, which is damn near enough to buy another set of rims, but the stockers weigh near to nothing, and I would rather use them. I'm wondering how wide this setup would make it. If I can get around the same width as just an aftermarket rim alone gives, that would be fine. Anyone run these or have pictures of a quad with spacers on it?

I built some spacers for my grizzly so I could put my Blaster paddles on it to try in the sand dunes and it widened the rear by 14 inches - 3 inch spacers so the 8 inch rims would clear the suspension and 4 inch offset. They really make it stable in the dunes but would be way too wide on the trails. You can't reverse the rims because of the cone shaped lug nuts. See the photos on my page.

hey andy,
the 1 1/2 inch spacers will work fine with the stockers. my self though, i would just buy a set of itp's for the stockers. they weight only 9 lbs each, and the cost is close, lol. the stockers are sooooo weak, and putting them out there even more will surly end in a bent rim. the differance in weight between the 2 are under 25 lbs. while your at it, you just might want to look into a set of trail tires. overall weight will be about 45 lbs more, but that can be made up easy in cornering, by going faster. i dont trust the stockers at all. they fold, and can cause a crash in a hard corner.
i have also heard of a real light rim out there. bout 6 or 7 lbs each. that is getting alot closet to tthe stockers .
good luck.

I don't know, just depends. I'm not really in the mood to spend a lot of cash and then have 3 sets of wheels laying around. Overkill I think. But I saw 26" Holeshot ATR's on Rocky Mountain, and it said out of stock, so I don't know if its a misprint or if they are about to come out with this tire in a 26". So I'll wait and if they do, I'm getting ATR's and throw those things on there. The lightest possible setup I can get is what I'm after, cause I already have the heavy Claws on Deltas.
