I bought a used raptor that had a jet kit and after market exhaust, I like the extra horse but it is way to loud. I repacked it but still way to loud(atleast for my neighbors) If I go back to stock exhaust will I need to remove the jet kit? any way to quiet the exhaust?

it is an ALBA exhaust

 

If it has discs on the end you can remove some of them and greatly reduce the noise level. If you replace the stock exhaust you will have to rejet it as well.

 

no disks and I don't want to rejet so I will leave the ALBA on and the neighbors will have to deal. I may check DB level to see if it is under 100 which should be exceptable if it is not do you know of a quiter exhaust htat I could use that would not require rejetting?

 

just about any change of the pipe will require rejetting. If you cant do it then a local shop should be able to do it for you, but it will cost you. Alba pipes are obnoxiously loud, and all of 100 db. If you dont care about performance, then I would just get a stock exhaust and throw it back on. stock exhaust is about 94 db.

 

Do they make some kind of quite core for the alba exhuast if so you could by that.
