Default would like you raptor riders opinion

i have a 2001 raptor with a HMF slip on, 12 tooth front sprocket, and 4 inch extended swingarm i am thinking about a K&N filter and re jetting the carbs, what do you guys recommend?..........all answers appreciated

and how hard is it to do the jetting yourself....without totally screwing things up?i have done carb work before, just not on a bike with dual carbs

You should need to rejet and a K&N will help it breath. After you decide what you are going to do there is allot of help on here for jetting. BigScary can you get deals on quads too?

one more ?....ive heard about drilling 1 " holes in the airbox.....whats your opinion on that?

Rejetting is not hard at all. I had never messed with carbs, but I tore mine down and rejetted and put it back together in about an hour or so. Just make sure that all the boots seal to the airbox and the carbs/intake. It helps if you have a Yamaha manual. I also used the GYTR kit, and have had no problems.

holes in the box are good, but if you want the most power and wont be riding in wet conditions, just take the lid right off.

Ive got a "slightly" used k&n with an outerware and a lid thats already cut. If you want them I will let them go cheap. Let me know!
