Thanks everyone. From what it sounds like to me, I likely have a combination of problems. My creaking I was hearing while sitting still and turning my wheels, was lessened by lubricating the bushings, like boomer an a couple others suggested, but the grinding noise when I turn when driving is still bad. I never considered my diff fluid, but I do have a synthetic fluid in it. I'll try changing that. And as for my U-joints, I have been noticing a little "snap" when I give it a shot of gas from a standstill, so I was suspecting my u-joints could be bad for some time now, but I didn't realize that they could cause the noises I'm hearing now. Now that I have some ideas where to look, I won't bother wasting my money taking it to a shop. Thanks everyone.
