Default Raptor 1st to 2nd shift

If your stock linkage is worn it will cause shifting problems. Buy a new linkage it may solve your problems. I had the problem on my Warrior and used the linkage from the Raptor (replaced with roll design) and it cured the Warrior shifting problems.

I think it all boils down to the sloppy linkage set-up. I had similar problems with mine. As soon as I added the direct shifter I never had that problem again...

its the tranny man believe me, im going through the same thing, do you get any problems going into reverse? (YAMAHA SHOULD DO A RECALL ON THIS NOT SOME STUPID BRAKE)

Default Raptor 1st to 2nd shift

i just got an 04 raptor and i have trouble getting it into neutral.. it takes some finess.. i guess i just need a little more practice at it.. i've only put about an hour on it.

I feel your pain man! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] I replaced every single suspension bearing in my 01'. And there was always SOMETHING breaking on it. I got rid of it and haven't been happier. And the longer I'm around the more and more I hear of raptor trannys going out OTHER than just the 01's.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img] I solved the long jump from first to second by droping down to a 12 tooth sprocket on the front. That way I could do starts in 2nd gear, and never even have to use 1st. The only time I ever use first is on the tightest trail rides.
