Default yfz massive oil leak

Ok, so i was out riding pretty hard on my yfz. (doing some flat jumps of about 5-6 feet high... nothing too silly.) I stop and take a break and notice that I'm leaking. I can't tell where it's coming from, but it's leaking all over my front sprocket. I checked the second oil cap, and it's completely empty. It was getting dark, and I had to fly out later that night, so I haven't had a chance to really look into what caused it.

Any Ideas?

I have heard that there's a plastic/rubber plug in the head which may pop out. It was above the header as far as I remember, so it's probably not the same problem as you're experiencing. Still, never hurts to check. It's basically a blanking plug to cover the hole left from the removal of the manual decompression lever on the YZ450F ...

hes right. I acctually ordered a billet plug just to be sure that mine wont pop out. They are only like 15 dollars. If i were you i would check there first. I will get a you a picture of where it is.

here ya go. The silver plug in the picture is the aftermarket one. The black plug on the table is what should have popped out on yours.click

I'm having it taken in for it's 20hr checkup anyways. I'll just have them replace it. (i'm out of state right now, so I'm having my buddy take it in for me.)

Thanks for the info.
