this has changed my mind. i will not get a bear tracker. i am going to go with something with a larger engine. although i am on a 2000 dollar budget. i want it to be a yamaha so that kind of limits my options. i am open to opinions if you think i can get it for 2000 or under thanks. (I am talking about getting it used)

Raptory, that was some good reading on the comparsion of the two. I bought one(Timberwolf) for my wife in 97 and she loves it. It is a fun little quad and wheelies good although for me it does seem underpowered but if you know it in advance and adapt to the differnce it would go anywhere I would go with my King Quad. Of course it gets replaced next summer for a Bruin but it will still be in the stable for the kids as they get older.
It is dissapointing that Yamaha only offers it in 2 wheel drive now, I know of alot of the 4x4 Timberwolfs running around with 8 to 14 year old kids on them. Perfect hunting quad that fits the buget well(paid 3700 OTD) and the kids can get it unstuck by themselves, even though they say it is 500 pound machine. Does not seem like it, I throw it around like it is a 300 pound machine. Where do you find this kid of info, just floating around on the internet? AlaskaBoy.
