I am what you would prob. call an unbalanced rider. If someone stopped me and started yelling or getting in my face and I was trying to be polite and work out a compramise I would either give or take a butt-woppin. It's not that I would want to work someone over I wouldn't WANT too. but some of the things some of these a**holes will do is just insane! I try to be reasonable, but if someone wants to give up civility and just go caveman, to me that just gives me a liscense to combat.
I try to be polite whenever I can. I was riding on MY trails behind my house and In the near distance I saw about 8 horses with riders coming my way. I stopped shut off my engine and pulled way over, about a minute later the riders arrive where I'm at. I could have been like what are you doing on my property or something. I said hi. Thats it. they appreciated the fact that I pulled over 2 of the horses were kind of skittish. If I would have kept flying at them there's no telling what would have happened. Now how important would property lines ect. would have mattered if someone or the horse would have lost their life? Sometimes people are just messed up. I wouldn't have thought about doing anything else. I allways try to go the extra mile for people and animals. So you can see I just don't tolerate when someone skips constuctive dialog and goes right to bullying and intimidation.

 

put up No Trespassing signs, and if they walk on your property call the cops. I'd be pist if I was you. Start carrying a pistol with you. Make your neighbors dance [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img] don't forget to put some flameing poo on their door steps, at 3:00 A.M. ring the door bell and run.

forget the no tresspassing signs, get the hardcore ones, the ones that say tresspassers will be shot on sight, survivors will be shot till their dead.

 

I like a practical joke as much as anyone. But to roost someone or play a joke like some mentioned is never getting even. What would fuel atv activists more, a calm, non vilent, well spoken conversation, or a smart alick, vouger, rude yell fest? Cussing in a debate like this only shows how im-mature, stupid a person is. Playing pranks, will only give them cause to take you to court. I know it is uncommon anymore, but a person that can debate without cussing will get alot more done, than some one showing what an azz they are. I think one of the greatest people ever said, don't do someting to some one that you wouldn't want done to you. And rise above the situation that your in, don't let it drag you down to their level.

 

I probably wouldn't do any of the pranks I listed ever, but yall got to admit that there are funny. I only posted them because I thought that they were funny.

Advertise for garage sales at there house

put for sale signs on there cars, house, mailbox etc

pound on a very hard surface for more than 3 hours constantly

tic tack them nightly

if they have a chimney, dump a dead rabbit or raccoon down it

take there news paper, take a $h!t on it, and kindly put it back

if they leaves there car or house windows, put dead animals in through there window.....

I am stumped....some of those comepletely $uck but i could not think of any...

 

I know what you are talking about. I own 5 acres and my friends and I decided to build a race track, well after we got the first section done and was trying it out the neighbor lady which is the same size as the one your decribed, came out yelling and threathing us. I had got ahold of a couple neighbors that have tractors to come over and help in exchange for cases of beer. WE got the track done in about 6 hours and that is when hell open the gates and broke loose. She had 3 county mounties out there watching us, but they couldn't do a thing because my wife got smart the nite before and made a letter and went around a got signatures from the other neighbors that I agree to have all noises shut down between 7:30 P.M. to 7:30 A.M. and had over 20 signatures. The Sheriff came over and told me that what I was doing was not against the any laws and since it wasn't a zoned area he couldn't enforce anything, and be careful and have fun. We have had a little spectator action from the neighbors setting in there backyards watching us. Here in a couple weeks I am planning on making the track alot faster and put a couple more jumps in.

You did the right thing in the beginning and for anyone else in this type of problem always try to talk to the idiots first and see if you cant work out something etc, but if not feel free to try any of the ideas posted and the many not listed yet.

I have had only two neighbors ever that were not real major problems (thankfully their the current ones lol) and have done everything from fire up my dads open exhaust race car at 2 am when I was a kid to physically show someone why they need to mind their business and stay out of my face as an adult. Many of the things other members suggested are a blast and some even work but most will get you into trouble if your get caught, so since your in the right you may be better to work the legal system than end up in a bunch of trouble. Dont forget in NJ right or wrong means nothing.

Hopefully you dont have to go thru all the crap I have in the past, but if you do you will be much better prepared for these problems when your older, I know I was [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

And remember pictures of those stumps and wire or anything else that could hurt you may be enough for the state to start criminal charges on intent and conspiracy to harm you so take some pics. and it dont matter who is 3ft off in their measurements.
