I did find out what the noise my wolverine is making. It is really stupid, but when ever i drive in water that comes up to my engine water gets inside the clutch and makes it slip.

 

It's funny but at one point and time my skid blade was dented right under my case and there was like a 32nd of a inch clearance and when I would be riding it you could fell the rubbing and vibration it got so annoying that I had to fix it

I know this is a long shot because you guys posted this so long ago, but I'm experiencing a similar problem with my '02 Wolverine. I'm getting an intermittent grinding feeling/sound that I can feel in the right footpeg. Lasts for a second or two. When it first happened, I thought I was dragging a stick underneath. Did you ever resolve your problem? I'm stumped.
