Same as topic. When ever I have the wolverine at a certain rpm range it makes this grinding noise. The only thing I can think of is that the clutch is slipping. Can someone please help me! Thanks for any information. Chris,

see if you can get it to do it while sitting still. Rev it through the full range. If you can not get the grinding noise to happen, it could be driveline related. If it does do it, try to pinpoint it, then we can help more.

If you can't get it to do it, ride it and have a buddy ride beside you and try to get it to make the noise. Then your buddy can try to help you pinpoint it as well.

Without an area of specification, we can not be of much help.

The grinding noise may be because of no oil in your rear end this may cuase metal to metal grindage and disinigration of your bearings which is what happened to mine. Its a $90 dollar fix through Dennis Kirk

Did you ever figure out the problem, my 99 big bear 350 4wd does the same thing. Its usually at a lower rpm while in gear it doesnt happen that often so its hard to figure out but it still bugs me.

Make sure you keep an eye on the front wheels bearings, that is the exact same thing mine did and come to find out the bearings in the front went out. When I took everything apart the steering knuckle was all chewed up.

to be more specific I mean right under me, as in the bottom of the engine not near the wheel bearings.
