Warrior help please
Just when I think I have my warrior running great ......
Last sunday I am out racing a honda 200 dirt bike (and winning ) on my warrior when half way through the race my bike shuts down and then comes back on for about 3 seconds and then dies. I get it home and find no spark. So I start working my way back and find the orange wire coming from the cdi to the coil was hitting ground, I isolate the wire still no spark. Next I find I am not getting a reading on the source coil on the stator. So I open it up and find the source coil is scraped up pretty good on one side and slides easily out of the rest of the stator. I stick some pins in the wires next to both the source and pickup coil and bet readings. I put it back together and it fires up for about 10 seconds and then wont start.
I am leaning towards the stator but am also questioning the cdi. Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated seeing as both of these parts are rather expensive and I do not want to get the wrong one.
Sorry about the long post but I am really at a loss.
Thanks agian

Ok found my problem, answered my own question. found out the source coil is not supposed to move.
Now I have another question. I found where I can get another stator but the wiring is different from mine. has anyone every tried adapting a different stator to your warrior. The one I found has 2 3plug connectors, mine has 2 2plug connectors. I would not have a problem splicing the wires together but not sure if the bolt holes are different.
Thanks again
Ronnie

Well here is one for the archives,
I took the stator out of my bike and pulled out the old wire feed and tacked the loose source coil to the core of the rest of the stator. And much to my dismay, it runs just fine.
Anyway, just thought someone might be amused.
Thanks
Ronnie
