there is no question that you will move up in the ranks but the banshees are really fast even with a pipe and jet. you might have a hard time beating some of them though. but you will still have one kick butt quad no dout

 

Add some nitrous onto those mods then I might wager in your favor

 

does anyone know what a well done 686 Raptor should make for Hp. (similar to mine) As opposed to Banshee's w/ the mods listed above?

Does anyone out their have a similar setup and, have it running? How do you do against the He/Shee's?

 

I had the similar set up and would beat 90% of banshees,the truth is they are never tuned right,it's the old stock looking ones that are bad ****,i run some great lookin quads but they were slow,now the drag banshees are fast,i dont even line up against them..

I had a 12:1 and a stage 1 cam with mild porting and modded stock carbs, I think you will suprise them when you are done and there isent that big of a barrier between you if they are a little faster,you could always get faster also,..

 

If i've spent all that cash, go that deep into the motor and, still get beat buy my buddies He/shees; someone will be buying a 2004, built up 686 Raptor with less than 30 hours on the whole bike while i conceed and, go get something else! That would be pure crap!

The Crap Talking would be endless! I know their is always someone faster but, that is an awefull lot-o-work to get beat.

 

I think youll be fine ,just get it done..

the best thing is if you do lose a few then you come back faster...

 

As far as HP numbers go...your build is similar to mine and on the dyno mine was makin about 60. Keep in mind though that the dyno that was used is only used for jetting so HP readouts are not very accurate.

Different dyno's also put out different dyno #'s as well. So don't be concerned with what #'s people give you here.

Your bike should easily clean up on all piped only machines, whether it be a YFZ or a Shee.

You versus your buddies piped/ported bikes will come down to whichever of you is the better tuner.
