I just bought an 04 grizz and was wondering how far I can expect to go on a tank of fuel ?? In the 40 miles I have put on it it seems to be a gas hog. Can anyone tell me how many miles it should go on a tank ?? I know it depends on how you drive so lets say just cruising with an ocasional WOT run.

 

I've only got 44 miles on mine and it sure drinks the gas. One thing I did notice, though, was when my gas gauge started flashing , telling me I was empty it really wasn't empty. When I took it to the gas station I filled it clean to the top. I was only able to put about 3 gallons in. So I still had 2 gallons in the tank even when the gauge said it was empty. I'd like to know how far I can expect to go on a tank of gas also. Anyone know?

 

try running it out one time a guy in the local riding group put on 57 miles and it still had not ran out
you might want to try letting it break in to i hear motors are more effecient after break-in,

 

they have a very large gas tank. they should go all day of riding with no worries. very large reserve tank also

 

you can go all day usually on a tank of gas. Playing in some mean a$$ mud hole I'll average about 90-100 kms to a tank. ( thats about 57-62 miles)

 

Thanks for the replies. I looked in the tank when there was only one mark left on the fuel gauge and it still looked like there was at about 1/2 a tank.I guess the shape of the tank may effect the accuracy of the gauge.
