Default Flat Tire?

I just bought a brand new z400 and after 3 hours of riding I got a flat tire. The hole is in the side wall. When I pump up the tire I can hear the air coming out.

I heard that the side wall is really hard to fix. This is a brand new tire!!!!!!!! What should I do?

Buy a new tire or try to fix it.

Thanks for any suggestions

if the hole is small, just plug it...if its kinda big just take it to a competent tire shop and they should be able to fix it. You could also put a tube in it and forget about fixing it.

I tried Slime... but it didn't work too well. It only allowed me to ride for about 2 minutes before the tire went flat again.

I dont think slime can really help the side wall.....just buy a plug kit and shove some in the hole

Plug it, put in industrial grade tire sealant (like the stuff used in forklifts). Works good, will stop nail punctures in main tread, does little for sidewall and adds some weight. (not good). The green "slime" coats inside of tire like the sealant I mentioned, but is harder to remove from the inside of tire when you want to put on a internal patch. The Indust/AG sealant is cream colored, cheaper, better...put it in ATV, both of my trucks, Farm equip...etc...

dont use the slime. just go and get a plug kit. they are like $5 at walmart and they work. i had to plug a hole on my old 4 wheeler and it has been over a year and it hasnt leaked yet.

I would try to plug it if that doesnt work. put a tube in it. i get lots of use out of my tires. they get lots of nails and stuff punched through them. so i plug them up and then eventually put a tube in it. it is like getting a hole new tire.
