i put a 12 on and i love it. it has given me a higher top speed and better acc. i even raced a anther warrior with paddles at silver lake and burned it. all i had was my stocks. you dont notice it much but if you race against one without it you will see how much it changes it.

I absolutely hated mine. On motor is did ok. No great improvment. And killed the top end. Felt like a lost a gear. 6th felt like 5th with the stock one. And on Nitrous it was even worst. Rapped the motor out way to much. I didnt like it on motor or on Nitrous i will give a thumbs down to me. Some may like but i didnt....

i do believe the stock sprocket is a 13 so if you went down to a 12 you would loose top end but gain more low end

What you say is true about dropping teeth on the front, but what he was saying is that on dirt he's picked up speed because the machine can rev up easier. I noticed myself on dirt that I can pull higher average speeds than with the 13T.

I stepped even further down in my gearing to 12/42. I haven't had a decent ride since doing that, so I dont' know if I will like it much or not.

I noticed a pretty big difference in my torque right off though, and also the way the machine rev's on trail rides. 6th used to be a putt along low idle gear, but now doing 60 or 70km/h sounds almost flat out. No trouble to tell it's not tho .. just pin the sucker!!! When I was using stock gearing I could pop the wheels in 1st and 2nd without much trouble, 3rd with some effort, and forget 4th or above. Then when I went to the 12T, 1,2 and 3 were easy as pie to pop up the front, and only a moderate effort for 4th. Lord knows what it will be now with the 12/42. I suspect my top speed will still be handy to 60mph, since with the 12/40 I was still hitting 63 without much trouble. that's plenty fast for me

i've heard that higher gearing is actually a good thing with warriors so i'm running
14 teeth up front 42 rear and when racing agaist the same 400ex as before
i gained another length than i had on him before.
