Default FIRST EXPERIENCE ON 770 POWROLL RAPTOR

Got to have some seat time and to do some racing on a 770. The 770 had 39 FCR'S, Sparks Hi-rev cam and when I first got on it; it had a tremble to it. I asked what the tremble was and it was running without the counter balancer. It seemed to run very good and reved higher than what I expected. The strong point of the bike to me was on longer runs were the longer stroke come in; pulled real good on the other end. I will say compared to the 727 and 686 it took a little longer for it to rev out to its full potential. All in all I liked the feel of the 770(STRONG RUNNER) and enjoyed my time on it and thought I would post my experience on the 770 for those that might be interested in doing a 770. Slim

Thanks for the Info. Slim.. I was thinking about turning the drag-n into a 770 this winter. The more I was around them and thought about it I started to have the same thoughts that you have put in your post. Its nice to know that someone else was thiking along these lines. I am happy with the way the 727 runs and think I will stick with it.

Are you going to be able to beat the Bud Light Powroll 770 this summer Mike?

Just guessing here, but this was on flat ground wasn't it. I figure the 770 strong point would be better suited for hill shooting. I figured it would make a good amount of torque, compared to a non-stroked motor.

Yeah, the racing and rides were done on flats. It seemed to have more torque than my 690/686 but not overwelmingly more like some might thing but you could tell there was more piston going up and down; if you know what I mean. Also the vibration made the bike feel a lot different too not having a counter balancer. Slim

I will add my 690/686 was handling things. We made about 5 runs back to back through about 450 to 500 ft. runs and the little 690/686(WITH MODDED STOCK CABRS) was in front; so for those with a 690/686; they can compete at a pretty high level if done right. I hope no one thinks i'm bragging but it made me feel good that my bike was running with the bigger displacement bike. Its all in fun!! Slim

FYI
770cc PREMIUM KIT

The ultimate in horsepower! You’ve seen it in the magazines, now get it for yourself!

Absolutely the most power possible for your Raptor!

BIG NOTE: This kit requires EXTENSIVE machining and is not designed for reliability.

This what I pull off from their web site...... If you read the last line and imo I wouldn't have 770 in my motor at all....

Sure it will be fast and do you want to do rebuilt quite often? I wouldn't.......
