Default Raptor Floats

I know this question has been asked b4 but please help!! I took off my boals and now one side is draining gas from the drain tube, I know it is the floats and I will have my carbs off tonight when I get off of work so please give me some info on adjusting the floats. I know that they should be 3mm above the mating surface, but how do I adjust and check to make sure it's there? Do I have to adjust and put then on and run it and check or is there a way to adjust and get it right on the bench? WHat do I need to adjust anyway to make this change? Thanks.
