Sand dunes??? what state is king?

Yep. Glamis is north dunes off the 76 side and Gordons Well and Buttercup is south dunes off the 8. you can either ride through the dunes to get across to either side or you can drive down Ogilby If you were to ride across from Glamis to Gordons Well or Buttercup you'd have to fill up to get back Im in about 40 miles away from there so I could probably ride my quad all the way out there

I hear that back in the day when times were ..... freer? (if that's even a word) that way deep in the heart of the Pismo dunes in CA there's this killer Comp. Hill. I wish an old timer would verify this for me.

Utah might not have the best dunes (thats up for debate) but Living here is the best place to live if your a Duner.
Little Saraha is less than 2 hrs from SLC.
St A's is less than 3 hrs from SLC.
Sand Hollow is less than 4 hrs from SLC.
Coral Pink is about 4 hrs from SLC.
Knolls (harldy a sand dune area, but a great desert area w/ some sand) is only 1 hr from SLC.
Not to mention we no sound limits, green stickers, spark arrestors laws, and that good beer.

nice sized dunes (height and acreage)
a huge variety of terrain (from easy to WFO up the Spine with a razors edge on it)
tons of chutes to run
tons of trees to pee behind
cheap (what $8 a car?)
no crowds (relative to CA)
no restrictions like the west coast states ('cept a helmet law would be nice IMO)
very close to the people who ride there
to far a drive for all the CA peeps who want to ride there
St. Anthony is like going back to the dinosaur days - everything is huge and there's not much out there. If Nessy (lochness monster) liked sand, she'd live there.
