well i'm on hold untill i can get another head. starting to look like i might have to get one from yamaha, all i have been able to find is the head it's self, but from what i have seen and read you need both parts of the head matched together or the cam journals dont line up just right and it will wear out the cam?? not sure if it is true or not but dont want to chance it. If anybody knows who has a complete head assy to sell, let me know..

 

Keep your eyes out on ebay...I've seen a couple on there.

 

I have been running a mismatched head and top cover for the last two months ( till I can afford a brand new head ) with no problems. Even when I tore down to retorque the head, no funny wear marks or anything. There is a top cover on ebay right now that ends in 2 hrs and its at $75.
