An aftermarket air filter like k&n does add speed because it adds two to three horsepower.

 

Thats a pretty bold comment ...saying that we don't know much about wheelers....when Most of our machines are probably allready piped. And your the one asking the question....If you don't know the answer....How do you know we are wrong?

Your Blaster stock for stock is set up to make the most out of what they sell you. In my experience...Unless you change the gearing or do some other crazy engine mods...you will see a very slight increase in top speed, If any. The power difference that your seeing IS PROBABLY night and day....But it's not making you any faster on the top end. You will probably pull through the gears a bit quicker...which in your mind is tricking you into thinking your doing 100...But thats not the case.

Don't be so quick to judge the opinions of others...especially when you asked the question. If you don't agree with someone...either find a nice a way to tell them that. (which is possible...and what the forum is all about) OR....grin and bear it and move on.

if u read my selection below this u can see my mods on my blaster.the pipes gave me better response and acceleration.the filter kept it clean.if u want to do 64 and up get a big bore kit
