ROFL I just noticed something rather humorous. This forum "started" as Banshee vs. Raptor shootout. Well where in the world did that go to? Sorry I just found it humorous that this whole thing turned into a big verbal argument that virtually has everything to do with the Raptor and nada with the Banshee anymore.....Just my observation

Yeah, you can almost hear the gurgling sound as it went down the tubes.

I'm not loyal to any one brand, I have owned many different machines and currently own 2 Hondas and a Banshee.(purchased by saving up my allowance, paper route money, and from mowing lawns) I am geting rather tired of hearing all these "facts" about the Raptor. What is with all these heavy numbers and math we are doing? I don't even find any of that remotely interesting. I really do hope the new machine is all you hope it will be, that is true, but the more I hear, the more I think Yamaha pumped this machine up to be more that it is. I agree that they went after a broad appeal, but, no way is this quad going to blow away everything else out there.
Actually, I am nice guy and I would enjoy riding with anybody, I am in Tucson so let me know and we can arrange something.
So sorry if I ruffled your feathers and you had trouble sleeping last night, but it is just a forum, and I simply couldn't resist starting a little trouble. As you know, sarcasm is just one of the services we offer here.

The Raptor may have it's hands full with the DS than.I have a All-Terrain magzine(Canadian)and it draged a 2000 Banshee and Ds on flat dirt and this is what happend. The Ds jump a bike length in front off the start and the Banshee lost no more ground than that untill it top out and than the ds left behind it due to it's higher top speed.

Paper boy and Lawn boy!(ROFL) are you old enough to own an atv yet?(ROFL) you have to be 16 you know. The only allowance I get is from Working 45hrs a week at a Hospital. Please bring some real information when you come in this forum If you are going to bash this thing just because you wanna be a jerk please go talk to some john deere owners about the next lawnmower your getting and let them bash you in the ground. Im spending my hard earned cash on it and if its the best dang thing since sliced bread then hey I got the first one in this half of the state. If not I sell to the next guy on the waiting list, and Buying a Banshee. Not sweating anything here.

Roostking,

I kind of agree with you buts since im third in line for one I will be able to hear what they are really like before I get mine and my dealer WILL give me my money back that I put down if I change my mind. So really I dont have anything to lose. As for the other who cant get their money back yeah your right but I really do think this bike will be great. If it aint i'll be saying hello Mr. Banshee!

I second that ForeMan

The main reason for me to purchase a Raptor is because it's an excellent all arount ATV, and it's reverse gear. If I wanted to by a Banshee, I would of, but I like the all around power of a four stroke.
