Foxman- yes alot of things to consider when choosing oil. I usually use Maxium-4 10W-30 and 10W-40. Sometimes synthetic oil will make your clutch slip and wear out faster. I learned that the hard way.

speedshifter- Yes all the way to the turn, once to the right. That is the "universal" setting for most bikes.

Thanks for the info, But DOEs it adjust the clutch? What on the clutch does it adjust? I'm sorry for the 100 question, but I"m trying to get this thing up ands running for the summer

We used to have two '86 moto4 225's, man did those things last! We just got rid of the blue one last year and my aunt still uses the red one. I believe 1986 was the first years for those bikes.

85 was the first year for the moto-4 200, 86 was the first year for the moto-4 225. They still made it in 1988 if I'm right, and moved to a 250 the following year. And they also had the moto-4 350 with the oil cooler on it. So yes, they made a moto-4 before 1989, and it was not only a 250. We had an 85 200 and an 86 225.
