97 Warrior - After I put on a k&N (outerwear) and a proflo adapter, six one inch holes with filters in air box lid, I also put a filter in the carburator breather tube. My cousin and I both have had troubles with dust getting in there (but not since getting the filter). We got it from the local Yamaha Dealer, it just slides into the tube.

I also added an aftermarket fuel filter just for good measure after I thought I got some bad fuel once. Any 1/4 inch filter will work.

 

Yes, your K&N you have ordered will work with the Pro Flow... Go for it...
