If the person that owns the Rappy knows how to tune properly and get a good holeshot then he'll deffinatly win.

 

I can run side by side with a YFZ on my dads 03 piped,jetted, k&ned rappy only when taking of is sand (not dune)... in grass the YFZ always gets me.... Depends on the raptors takeoff and length of the track., we all know how they like to pop up and show off... The YFZ has a higher comp and a better engineered body... Long Strip in a loose dirt or sand i say raptor... Short Strip on grass... YFZ

well we'll be racing at 4:30-5. the guy im racing (on a yfz) is the one who tuned my raptor. we ride together all the time. and he says its as close to perfect as its gonna get, and she runs better than ever. the only reason i want to race him so bad is because i beat this cannondale the other day and the rider wouldnt belive i had a stock engine. he said he never lost to a raptor and he beats stock 450s all day. so he kind of got my head up. either way it goes im happy with the way shes running, my buddy is pretty good on these engines and he traded his raptor for his 450, so hes helped me. let you know in about an hour or so.

 

I think so too....that YFZ is one snappy machine.

the results are in... from a dead stop, the yfz took me every time. not buy much, but he got me. about 1/2 or a whole bike length in front. from a rolling start, he'd have to catch me and we're still arguing over who won that one. i dont think the raptor's running quite right. just yesterday before we raced it sounded like the parking brake was on going up a hill and it would cut out, and if i started out in second it nearly die. im not throwing out exuses, he beat me. the yfz prevailed. there will be a re match someday, both are good bikes and we had a good time, and at the end of the day, thats all that matters. well.......and a stop at the store on the way home for a 6 pack and a bottle of nitrous. its on when i get back ricky!

 

well I am the one that laid the smack down I will give him he peobably needs a new plug however the one time I did look back it was more than 1/2 bike length .any way 450 won..

 

now remeber how much a difference a pipe makes on a yfz.......tell the yfz rida that pies r a wast of money n they do jack shyt so he wont get one

also the rapy must have pulled up a lot....right?
