Default Front Sand Tires

I've ran Mohawks and Dune Trackers. I thought the Dune trackers turned better due to the center rib. They were also 8" wide and my Mohawks are 7" wide. The Dune Trackers weren't mine. I just borrowed them for a couple days.. I just wanted to try them.. I still run my Mohawks...

I would get the Shark Fins, but they're out of stock, and the price difference isnt as bad when they're pre-mounted, the gbc's are 112, and the skat-traks are 155, and i want them as soon as possible, plus i think the skat-traks wider rib design will last longer and will be more stable on slightly harder terrain like wet sand. (so as you can see I've changed my mind)

IIRC, the Shark Fin is a little harder compound than the Mohawk, meaning they will last longer. Personally, I run Dune Trackers (or similiar) exclusively. I just like the more precise action from them. A broken-rib like the Mohawk just doesn't turn good enough for my tastes. I run Kenda Dune Hoppers on the rear. As for Skat Trak tires, I won't own anymore of them because the first (and only) set I ever owned had two paddles de-vulcanize within a month, and they were complete a-holes about it. I'm not some idiot who does burnouts on pavement with paddles (I've seen it done), and I never mistreat my equipment. I just can't justify the price vs. durability/reputation with them. Bottom line, do what makes you happy, not others.
