i was on my shee and i got the bright idea to challenge my buddy to race in his Z24 cavalier that he thinks is so fast. (yeah right) so we raced on this long stretch of black top right in front of our houses and things were going pretty good. Of course i spanked him to about 70mph, but that's when all went wrong. i was already a good ways ahead of him in the right lane, and he also was in the right lane. so i started to slow down and enter the left lane to pull off into my driveway, well i guess he thought we were still racing and hit the passing gear and also entered the left lane. You can probably already see where this is going, but anyways. So somewhere in the timespan that he entered the left lane and me entering the left lane a collision occurred right around 45 or 50mph. that collision would be his 3000lb cavalier smashing into the back of my 400lb banshee, believe or not but that kinda hurt a little bit. When all was said and done i had flew off the back the quad across hood of the car, and at the same time i took the driver side view mirror off with my head (without a helmet) then i proceeded to roll down the side of the car and into a ditch. When it was all said and done, i had a patch of road rash on my back about the size of tire, i think it's gonna scar. Oh, my bad i just about forgot 2 bones sticking out of my left leg, that would have been my fibula and tibula (the only two bones going from your knee to ankle) both of which were grossly disfigured and sticking out of the skin, to top that off for not wearing a helmet i had a nice little pool of blood on the ground from my head. Then to make my day even better i recieved an 8,000 dollar chopper ride the University of Missouri. There i recieved three surgeries to attempt to put my leg back together, and now i have way cool cast to wear all summer. So to sum this all up, being stupid hurts.
p.s. helmets are great! too bad i wasn't wearing one.

That is usually the case. Most important thing is you are around to tell us what happened. I would invest in a helmet though.

 

Let me guess...alcohol related? That sucks!! I broke my fibula 2-years ago (long jumping), and I know how bad that hurts. At least you got to ride in a heli.

 

You are lucky you are not dead or a vegetable for the rest of your life. You don't need enemies with buddies like that.
