Default warrior or 300ex?

If you want top spead and something that will get up and go everyday get a warrior. If you dont mind having a bit less top-end but want better handeling and suspension get the 300ex. Besides it only, what?, 5mph slower?!? correct me if im wrong, but just because you have highest top speed it doesnt mean its the best machine

yup ur right just cant beat honda dependability. i have a completly stock 86 honda and it still starts first try most of the time. Most of Hondas motors are bulletproof. Check out the September 2004 Dirt Wheels for a shoot-out between the 300EX, the new raptor 350, and the the 400EX.
Dirt Wheels ranked the quads as follows:
1st: 400EX (no surprise)
2nd: 300Ex
3rd: Raptor 350

who cares though as long as u have fun riding. Right??

I agree but just to put my 02.cents in the warrior has many things going for it the 300Ex surpases the warrior in handling and suspention and its honda wich is reliable but so is the warrior as for the handling its not that bad. Just slap on works shocks and better handle bars and is twice as better as the 300EX but each has their good and bad. Like Hondaguy said just pick one up the one you like the most and have fun riding.

Yea, just slap some works shcks on for bout $450!! Then handlebars are bout $60 for the cheap ones. He told us money was an obstacle so i definintly suggest goin with the 300ex. My best friends have both and the fun factor on the warrior doesnt compete with the 300ex. Top speed means nothin the way we ride. Then if u save up that $500 u were gonna put into the warrior to make it handle like a 300, put it into the 300ex instead u will surpass the warrior in absolutely everything. Get a pipe, filter, w/e and u will have a wicked FUN machine.

Depending on how big you are too,

The 300ex is a good bit smaller than the Warrior.

Power wise I've found the Warrior to be quite a bit faster after a few mods, and as far as handling goes a stock Warrior cannot handle with a 300ex. However after some tires, and bars the Warrior will handle well enough to compete.

For MX type jumps however the 300ex might be better since the Warrior shocks are not great up front. The rear can be made better with a new spring.

The thing is tha used a Warrior might be the better deal because many of them already have mods and are dirt cheap by comparison. The 300exs are pretty cheap too but you can find older Warriors that can be had for good prices in nice shape.

Depends on exactly how much you have to spend.
