How does GYT-R fare against Yoshi or CT? Does anyone have any specs on the GYT-R pipes? i.e. performance gains, weight, db rating???

Awsome, atcually they are way better then ppl may think. I went from the Full Yoshi Comp CF System, to the Full CF GYT-R...103 DB, 96 w/Silencer...good gains too...motor.yamaha.com...they have dyno charts on it.

There Clutches, skid plates, grab bar, and bumpers are outstanding also. Plus you know everything is an exact fit every time.

Thanks man. I kinda like the look of the Trinity system witht he dual chrome pipes but I read the dyno charts on it and the hp gains are kinda choppy instead of even like the yoshi.

I have the GYT-R on my YFZ and the thing is falling apart my self should have gone with the after market parts. The power on the GYT-R is good but I have had to repack two times all ready in less then a year and it is still falling apart. It leaks through the caps so I have had to put silicone to stop the leaks. Just disappointed in the fit and finish of the pipe. Other people have had similar problems with them also. They (YAMAHA) recommends to repack every 20 hours of ride time. I know I don't repack that often so that might be part of the problem. If you get anything other then the aluminum then it is just weight savings for the Carbon fiber and the Titanium. They perform the same.

i will probably go with the yoshi sys after reading the results and dyno charts from dirtwheels. Have you heard of anyone running supertrapps? I wonder how they perform. I know they dont make a headpipe so I wonder what brand of hadpipes other people are using.

Never had to repack it yet, i have at least 40 hours on it, i do 20-30 hours in a month......LEAKS...WUT!!! LOL nah, havent had any problems, and i have never been outpulled by another raptor, with the system even before the 686.

Yoshi is good but the GYTR Yamaha is better, i wanted the trinity, but power was what you might call peaky, and i have never seen one before...as far as DIRT WHEELS is concerned ROFL!!! They can tell ppl anything they are an F-in Magazine, and feed on readers like you.

LOL...Call me Dinner It's a starting point and gives some good ideas as to what one wants. It had pics and dyno charts, which made my decisions pretty easy.

LRD, if your Racing, but i doubt you are, i say that only because they literally allow the most HP and TORQUE Possible...nothing is better, but its for Close Coarse Racing. Others use it anyway, but i dont recommend it if you go riding anywhere such as state parks. Best Raptor exhaust is The GYT-R In my opinion, others that are really good are ALBA, there new StageIII is awsome, and gives quite impressive gains. Yoshimura is pretty good but if you go and get that, well why not the GYT-R...I would swear its better with the raptor... I have posted about this topic about 20 times in the past.

Yamaha has the Time, Testing, Development, and Technology to Create a good exhaust system for the raptor...They are not going to release an exhaust that isnt good, in quality, fit and finish, and above all Pure Performance. Its an EXACT Fit, as is the stock one. They have the dynos, and the Technology behind it. Im not saying other companys dont, but there are companys such as HMF, Graydon...and others that i would swear has pipes made that only "FIT" the raptor, yet they just stamp there name on it and do nothing more then call it a day...the reason they sell its because they can "create" charts or dynos that will PROVE a good 3-8 MAYBE HP gain, and yes they do work bot its only for the fact that the raptor's stock exhaust system is soo frickin restrictive...ANYTHING will be better then stock and show gains, but its only when you use GYTR, Yoshi, ALBA, CT...ect that you see things really come alive. Also the real problem is, the headers on these systems are no bigger then factory...meaning no real gains there.

Its all in how long the header is, and were the 2 ends join into 1, and how long each bend it. It all plays a big part in it. Its a verrrry difficult decision, and a very hot topic for some. I would honestly Stick with YAMAHA, they seriously back there products, thus far with my previous experiences. I couldnt be any happier with the GYTR, and like i said before, its a perfect fit.

I really hope this helps and that you can get the most from this info, without confusing you any, this is only MY opinion, as im sure others will give you theres LOL,
