i was told yesterday that a stock 500 Polaris scrambler would beat my new 04 raptor in a drag race quarter mile. i told him do you realy think so, trying to not laughf he was serious........i asked him if he would like to make a friendly wager. he said no but wanted to race any way. i won't know the results until after this weekend........this is going to be hilarious i think. what's even crazier is his buddy agreed who rides kodiaks, i just smiled and said it's on then,,,,,,,,,he must have been smoking something,,,,,,,,
his doors are going to be blown off in my book. i rode his stock scrambler when i had my warrior. it was just a little faster than my warrior i thought........i didn't like it , candymatic, sits to high, couldn't wheelie it, it would be a good trail bike though.....

 

hummm, he might get u in take off cuz its (correct me if im wrong) 4x4. but as soon as u lay yer front end down and get back on the gas, he shouldnt b that far away from ya and yer accelleration will eat him alive. i have heard that its better 2 race 1/8mile cuz 4wheelers top out so fast in a straight line. we must not have 2 much faith in himself if he wasnt up for a 'friendly wager' but anyways good luck (not that u need it or anything) L8R - fanninator

 

My dad had a 500 scrambler and my old Warrior will Kill it. the 500 will only go 55- 60 you will have no prob.

 

Was that a Raptor 350 or 660?

 

If it is a raptor 660, then he may be able to get you off the line, just because the automatics launch really well, but you will easily pull on him. A stock 500 scram tops out anywhere from 63-67mph (depends on the machine and other variables). I know, I have one. If you are talking about a raptor 350, then dont be so sure on that. Cuz his machine is capable of beating a warrior/raptor 350. Those that say that they can kill a scram with a stock warrior are not exactly correct. Maybe if the scram wasnt running right or had a 400lb rider, then OK. I can tell you for a fact that my scram will beat off the line and hang with a Predator and DS650 until about 45mph. A lot of people underestimate the scramblers

yeah, 'bobby' haha is right, i under estamated a 250 scrambler and barly got beat by it, but then again im on a 230 4stroke up aginst a 250 (i think??) 2stroke he had under 5mph on me and i top out at bout 53 (so i have ben told but still unsure, it dont feel like im doin over 45...) take that for what itsworth, im not sure bout the 500s but a 250 barly has the edge on a 4stroke 230 L8R - fanninator

 

This is a medical problem and I would consult a doctor before it moves up further and all is lost.

He wont even get that. Polaris' lag a little after you nail it then they pick up.
