Raptor gas overflow tube??
Guess I will start a new thread since I got the oil change taken care of. After the oil change I took the 03 for a 10 minute ride and when I got back and shut it off there was gas running out of the tube by the rear shock mount. It ran for a couple of hrs or more and this morning it was not running gas but it drained almost all the gas out of the tank. Any ideas on what that was and how to fix it?

Sounds like your float valve is stuck from dirt...Take your carb apart and clean them paying special attention to tne float valve area and making sure the slide up and down with no restriction at all..Sometimes they build up **** around them and you have to clean em up real good..I use a small fingernail file to sand the gunk off and a small drop of oil to make sure they move freely.(Hope this helps)

Sounds like the float valve. First, buy some non-chlorinated brake cleaner. Take the carbs apart and remove the floats and needle valves. Spray the crap out of everything, and make sure there is no sand or dirt inside. Put everything back together and try it. Is it only coming out of one overflow, or both carbs?

I would spray everything with the cleaner first, and then use compressed air. The c leaner might get most of whatever is in there out, and that way the compressed air won't force any more dirt further into all those tight spaces. If you have a pressure regulator on your compressor, turn it down to like 30 or 40 psi. Just take the float bowls off and spray in the float bowl, in the float needle chamber, through your jets, and straight through the carbs.

also,,,before you re install the float bowls,,,,examine the float valve going up and down (while holding them bowl down),,,,being sure that it opens and closes the valve properly,,,,they may need a little adjusting (slight bend of the metal tang that makes contact with the needle valve).
They usually tend to be a bit out of adjustment on Raptors.
I had to adjust mine.
