I have had my blaster since feb.and I have never had any probs locking up the rear or the fronts. Using the stock front brakes I can bring the rear off the ground occasionally.

I thought the rear brake adjustment was done by adjusting the parking brake. This is the information that I got out of the Hynes repair manual.

How are you people adjusting yours?

hotfmfblaster, Im not sure what kind of blaster brakes you have but they sure arent the ones every one else has! My Yamaha dealer kept mine adjusted regularly and the fronts were NEVER that good....

Dont you love those brakes on the Blaster?! Id have to say they are pretty pathetic. I completly removed the fronts because they are totally worthless. I converted the back to hydrolics. Much better. I also lost a lot of weight up front. The hydrolic conversion kit for the front brakes are a bit spendy but im thinking about it. The mechanical brakes get dirty in the first mudhole and then they are junk.

i cleaned out the ratchet assembly and they work fine now. the front brakes have always worked good, except when they get mud in them and then you have to clean them. I have no problem doing endo's on my blaster atleast on hard pack surfaces
