Default is there a better deal out there for horsepower?

been doing some research on making my raptor 660 run faster

1. Nitrous....

2. EFI/Turbo....

3. 686 kit...

these 3 above options have me thinking which way to go...

The 686 kit could provide me upward of 60 hp for the low, low price of around $3500 (including all labor, etc...)

the EFI/Turbo could provide upward of 80 hp for closer to $6K(labor included)

Nitrous would run about $1000 plus any other engine upgrades needed, to keep engine from blowing up (what engine upgrades would I need?)

Now looking at these 3 options, and trying to put it into perspective (i could buy a 2nd atv and a trailer and bring a buddy to ride with me for the cost of some of these upgrades)

Is there something I am missing? are there other options out there to go faster?

not to downplay any of the above options, but is there any way to get a 10-15 hp gain for under $1500?

What do you think is the best bang for the buck?

I am not cheap, just skeptical

****imo****, nitrous is the most complete waste of money you can do....its basically considered cheating... and why would u spend a grand into something you have to refill all the time and can only use in last gear?

You can use it in any gear, refills are cheap, a bottle should last you the season, and its not cheating.........unless you race or some shat.

can stock motor on nitrous beat a 686 kit in 300 ft?

I don't feel it is cheating, cause a race is a race...but mounting a 5lb bottle on my raptor doesnt look to cool

maybe a 2.5 lb bottle....i

looks like that is the best bang for the buck, if you go riding 4 times a month....thats like $50 a month for the refills(not bad)

still not decided, need to find a little more info on reliability

getting a 686 kit is expensive....since i wont be doing the work myself...and the reliability of the work and prior threads of cracked pistons/whatnot leaves me thinking that it may not be the best for me/and my style of riding...Noob on the trails....hehehehe

god forbid goosing the throtle up a steep hill

is there a warranty on 686 kits?

I can build you a 686 with 60+ H/P for $2900, it just boils down to what you want and how much you want to spend you know.
