Well I took that in that he was wondering if the dealer was messing with him.......
In Chat tonight I heard to other people say that they just got called on the MS area... hopefully a couple of more days to get to the west coast if its for real....

Some of the dealers were saying Aug. 17th for the first delivery, that's 2 days from now. If that's true, somewhere there is a tractor trailer truck full of Raptors wheeling down the road.
Why is it that out of us all, we aren't able to contact or know anyone who has details about what they are doing at the factory, distribution point or etc...? Has the Yamaha brass swore to cut out the tongue and take away the birthday of anyone caught leaking information about the Raptor?

Looks like Yamaha is making adjustments to the Raptor, otherwise this thing would be in dealerships right now. I hope that they get this baby out by the end of August, because their making quadaholics go through withdrawl symptons.
Come on Yamaha Give us what we need..!!!!
Raptor, Raptor, Raptor........

agreed Juvenile,
I got rid of my Banshee in order to get the Raptor. I guess it is a kind of withdrawal. I go from excited, to bummed out, to the "I wonder if I even need another quad" stage. The wait is getting very old. I'm afraid that we'll end up waiting more than we even anticipate though. I guess I better get some warm overalls so I can ride it when it comes in!
If they are making changes, I hope that it involves a transmission gearing change so that we can have good bottom and retain the top end, and not the easy way out by changing sprockets.

I know exactly how you feel Bash. I feel the same way. I would realy like to have the bike for the whole fall riding season. Two dealers have told me 3rd week in aug. was there best guess and this is Aug. I spoke to another dealer today and they told me late this week or the first of next. If customer sevice is aware of the delay why have they not told there dealers. The dealer my blk&wht is ordered with says that Yamaha is always good about when they tell here Aug the bikes will be here in Aug.
